You would imagine most models are accustomed to turning up to the red carpet in taxis or limousines.
But in Auckland tonight they had to settle for swiping their Hop cards and jumping on the Link bus.
Fashion label Miss Crabb held an off-schedule show during New Zealand Fashion Week on Karangahape Rd, showing off a spring/summer collection to about 150 guests.
A 25m red carpet was rolled out on the road as the models strutted their stuff and paraded Miss Crabb's latest releases.
Kristine Crabb, the woman behind the brand, said she originally planned to throw a small party, but they wanted to celebrate Fashion Week in a unique way.
Miss Crabb spokeswoman Julie Butcher said they came up with the concept to put on a show on the street to make the spectacle more accessible.
The decision to catch the Link bus was made because it was the easiest way to get everyone involved in the show from Miss Crabb's Ponsonby Rd shop.
